HISTORY

Being inspired by God through prayer, fasting and obedience to his call, our Pastor Wayne Morris Brooks Sr. obeyed God and started this great work. In January of 1998, Pastor and First Lady Brooks stepped out on faith and Deliverance Tabernacle COGIC was established.

It was with God’s grace and goodness that God allowed the doors to open up at Kennedy High School in Silver Spring Maryland. Starting with the Brooks family of 6, the first service was held on January 15 1998. The Spirit of the Lord was upon this service leading souls to be saved. In 2001, we relocated to Kemp Mill elementary School. As of February 1, 2009, God blessed us to move from the school house to our very own sanctuary located in Beltsville, MD! Since this ministry was established God has added to this ministry exactly who is needed to carry out the work.

If it was not for the vision of this church and love extended and expressed through our spiritual leaders we could not share what God has poured out to each member here. Our prayer is that you continue to grow in Christ, magnify and uplift his Holy name and spread Love throughout this nation.
